About

Borrowing Privilege

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Nebraska Methodist College have borrowing privileges at John Moritz Library. Off-campus database access is limited to current students and employees.

Fines

Overdue fines: we do not collect fines for overdue items, however the item must be returned before any other items can be borrowed. Outstanding items will be billed at the end of the semester.

Every borrower is responsible for library materials checked out in his/her name. Borrowers are billed replacement costs for lost, damaged, or unreturned items to the library plus a $10 processing fee. Bills are sent approximately 90 days after an item is due. The NMC Business Office is notified of outstanding bills and a block will be placed on a students account.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is a service where the library will contact other institutions to obtain an article that we do not own. Interlibrary loan can be ordered directly via the databases, or by using this form. This can be used for articles you find that are behind paywalls.

Delivery takes approximately 2 business days, but depends on the speed of the institution that we request the item from. Orders are not filled after hours or on the weekends.

APA Review

If you have questions regarding APA, citations, or plagiarism, the library staff are available to help. Questions can be asked in person, or you can file a ticket to have your full paper reviewed. This same link can be used for writing support
