Capstones: Master of Science in Nursing: Home

The Masters in Nursing capstone project is developed over the course of two semesters. In the first course of the capstone sequence, students synthesize concepts related to research, practice, education and leadership content as well as experiences learned throughout the master's programs of study. Groups of students collaborate to select an evidence-based project. Emphasis is placed on the process of identifying a nursing problem, searching and critically appraising the literature with development of a summary matrix table. Students focus on completing an evidence-based manuscript suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, podium, or poster presentation.
